Welcome
Welcome to the Visual Neuroscience Laboratory of the Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Pittsburgh.
Our laboratory employs neurophysiological and computational approaches to study the primate visual system. Specifically, we are interested in the dynamics of visual processing at the level of individual neurons and populations, and we try to relate cortical circuits to visual perception using a range of experimental approaches.
The laboratory is directed by Matthew A. Smith.Latest Projects
